Who we are

JeevanDrishti (jeevandrishti.com and its Android app) is run by InfraBit IT Solutions, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, India. This page says what personal information we keep, why, who else receives it, how long we keep it, and how to have it deleted. For questions or complaints: info@jeevandrishti.com.

What we keep

Account: Name, email, mobile number (if you add one, or from your latest booking), language and password. The password is kept only as a one-way hash: nobody can read it, including us.
Birth details: For each profile: name, date, time and place of birth. They are used only to calculate your charts and reports, on our own server. A profile made without an account stays with your browser session and is deleted after 30 days if you do not sign in.
Appointments: Name, email, phone, the topic you write, your time zone, and the internet address the booking came from (to stop abuse). If you start a booking and do not pay, we may send one email with a link to finish it; never more than one.
Payments: Name, email, phone, the amount, and the payment provider's reference numbers or the UPI reference you give us. We never keep card or bank account numbers.
Chat assistant and live chat: The name, email, mobile number and city the assistant asks for, the messages you write, your internet address and the page you opened the chat on.
Messages with astrologers: The messages between you and an astrologer after an appointment or a call-back.
Reports and Plus membership: What you bought, the profile it was for and the topics you chose. If you start an order and do not pay, we may send one email with a link to finish it.
Email on the birth form: The email the chart form asks for is kept on our list of contacts. Articles are sent to it only if you tick "Also send me new articles by email"; without that we send it no promotional email.
Mailing lists: If you ask for articles or the weekly rashifal: your email, language, chosen rashi, and when and from which internet address you joined.
Phone notifications: If you allow them: the notification address your phone's browser gives, your language and chosen rashi, linked to your account or your booking's email.
Visit statistics: For each page viewed: the internet address, the page, the site you came from, the device type, browser and operating system (worked out from what your browser sends; that text itself is not kept), an approximate city worked out from the internet address, and a cookie that tells repeat visits apart.
Astrologers and applicants: What an applicant writes on the application form, and their photo; for astrologers, their profile, working hours, and for security the internet address and browser of their sign-ins. An astrologer's agreement with us: the text signed, the typed name, the drawn signature, the consent statement ticked, the confirmed email and when the code was sent and confirmed, the time of signing, internet address, browser and browser language, kept as a sealed record. An astrologer's documents for verification, payouts and tax: PAN, ID and address proof (we ask for a masked Aadhaar), bank details and qualification certificates. Only that astrologer and our admin team can open them.

We do not ask visitors for identity numbers such as Aadhaar or PAN, card or bank numbers, your precise location, your contacts or photos from your phone (except an astrologer applicant's own photo; astrologers' documents are described above), and we do not use advertising identifiers. What you write in chats and messages may include personal matters; share only what you are comfortable sharing.

How we use it

To provide what you ask for (charts, reports, appointments, chat, notifications); to send emails about your bookings and purchases and the ones you asked for; to prevent fraud and abuse; and to understand how the site is used. We do not sell or rent your information or use it for advertising. There are no advertising networks or outside analytics companies on the site.

Astrologers: The astrologer you book, chat with live, or who takes your call-back request sees your name, contact details, topic and messages. Other astrologers do not, except that a call-back request is shown to the astrologers available to take it.
UPI: A UPI payment happens in your own UPI app. We only receive the UPI reference number you give us.
Email: Our web host's mail server, which delivers our emails. Every email we send (bookings, receipts, messages, articles) passes through it.
Location lookup: ipapi.co — for visit statistics we send only the internet (IP) address and get back an approximate city. Nothing else about you is sent.
Phone notification services: If you turn notifications on, they travel through your phone browser's notification service (Google, on Android). Each one is encrypted with your phone's own key; that service cannot read it.
Web hosting: The site and its database are stored on our web hosting company's servers.
The law: If a court or a government authority requires it under Indian law.

How long we keep it

Account and birth profiles: Until you delete them or the account. Profiles made without an account: 30 days.
Appointments, payments, reports, Plus, paid chat: As business records for as long as tax and accounting law requires (generally up to 8 years), also after an account is deleted, but no longer linked to it.
Chats, messages, mailing lists: Until you delete your account or ask us to delete them. Unsubscribing stops that list's emails at once (emails about your bookings and purchases still come); the address stays marked as unsubscribed so you are not emailed again, until you ask us to delete it.
Visit statistics: 90 days, then deleted automatically.
Phone notifications: Until you turn them off or remove the app; phones we can no longer reach are removed automatically. A record of sent notifications: 30 days.
Sign-in: Sign-in attempts: 1 day. Password reset links stop working after 60 minutes; email codes are deleted after 1 day. Astrologers' sign-in activity: normally 1 year.
Astrologer agreement and documents: While the astrologer works with us, and after that for as long as tax and accounting law requires (generally up to 8 years). Documents sent back are kept for the same period; a document the astrologer replaces or deletes before it is checked is deleted at once.
Our own alerts: The alerts we receive about bookings and payments: 180 days.

Your choices and rights

Delete your account: From the "Delete account" page in the app or a browser: signed in, or without signing in through an emailed link (valid for 60 minutes). Your account, birth profiles, mailing lists, phone notifications, unpaid chats and messages outside appointments are deleted; the business records above stay. People without an account can use the same link to delete their mailing lists, chats and notifications.
Delete one profile: In My Kundlis, at any time.
Stop emails: Every article and rashifal email has an unsubscribe link.
Turn off notifications: On the horoscope page (the daily rashifal), or in your phone's settings.
A copy, a correction, or deletion: Write to info@jeevandrishti.com for a copy of any of your information, to correct it, or to delete it. We reply within 30 days. You can withdraw your consent at any time; what was done before stays valid.

Cookies and storage on your device

We use only our own cookies; no advertising or third-party cookies.

jdsess: Sign-in, form security, profiles made without an account. Until the browser closes.
jd_lang: Your language. 1 year.
jd_vid, jd_vs: Visit statistics: a returning browser, and one visit. 1 year and 30 minutes.
jd_chat, jd_cfm: Your chat, and today's free live-chat minutes. 30 days and 1 day.
jd_rg, jd_rashi: Indian or international prices, and the last rashi you viewed. 180 days and 1 year.
jd_follow, jd_fc_…: The "follow us" card closed or clicked. 30–180 days.
On your device: Choices such as book text size, sound off and whether notifications are on; and in the app, the spiritual books you opened, so they open without internet.

Security

The site runs only over https. Passwords are kept hashed. Payments happen on the payment provider's own page. The admin pages are for authorised people only, and an astrologer sees only their own bookings, chats and messages, and open call-back requests. No method on the internet is completely secure; if we learn of a problem we will tell the people affected.

Children

JeevanDrishti is not meant for people under 18. Do not make an account or pay if you are under 18. If a child has given us information, write to info@jeevandrishti.com and we will delete it. (A parent may make a chart for their child.)

Changes to this policy

When we start keeping something new or sending it to a new service, we will update this page and the date at the top.
